Yesterday, it was that time of year once again to tuck my flowers all snug into their winter beds. I spent the afternoon gently and tenderly trimming them with my commercial-grade weed eater. I also wielded my pruners and trimmed the gangly branches from one of our forsythia bushes (and ended up with a trailer full of branches!).
As the daylight hours (and my energy level) were winding down, I paused to enjoy the beautiful fall colors in our yard. It had been such a lovely day and the yard looked so lovely that I just HAD to take some pictures.
I’m so glad I took the pictures yesterday. Today it has been rainy and windy. The beautiful fall leaves are now carpeting our lawn and driveway . . . and are not quite so lovely on the ground as they are on the trees!

Wow! Those pictures are very beautiful! All those years of hard work in the yard do pay off!
Yes. So, maybe your yard will have similar colors in 20 years . . .
