Week-End with Spencer

We will be babysitting our grandson, Spencer for the week-end.  Here’s a schedule of activities we will be doing.  It’s rigorous, I know.  But I think we’ll both be up to it.

Saturday
5:00 a.m. Up and at ‘em

5:01-9:00 a.m. — Beatle’s Rock Band (but Spencer’s gotta let me take a turn on the drums . . .)

9:00-9:30 — Breakfast (What’ll it be, Spencer?  Waffles topped with hot fudge ice cream topping and Cool Whip?  Pancakes topped with Nutella?)

9:30-Noon — Wii sports.  (Gotta tell ya, Spencer, I’m no Roger Federer . . . so have patience with me!)

Noon-1:30 p.m. — Lunch.  (What sounds good to you:  Cafe Rio, Carl’s Junior, Wendy’s, Burger King?  Regardless of where we go, we’ll have to get curly fries at Arby’s.)

1:30 — Nap, nap, nap (for Grandma).  While I’m napping, you can play with the toys in the toy closet or hang out with Grandpa.)

5:00-6:00 p.m. — Supper (If I wake up this early. . .)  I’m thinking Papa Murphy’s Hawaiian pizza and 3-4 gallons of Dr. Pepper.

6:00-10:00 p.m. — More Rock Band.  More Wii.

10:00 — story time and bed time.  (I know Grandma goes to bed early.  You can play for another couple of hours with Grandpa if you want.)

Sunday
8:00 a.m. — Wake up.  Think about breakfast.  Snuggle in a blanket and read stories.

9:00 a.m. — Breakfast.  (Any high sugar laden cereal will do.)

9:30-12:30 p.m. — More snuggling, reading, snoozing, grazing in the pantry.

12:30 p.m. — Get ready for church.

1:00 p.m. — Church

4:00 p.m. — Go home, change out of Sunday clothes, graze in the pantry.

5:00 p.m. — Leave to go to Aunt Christi’s house for supper and to celebrate Uncle Tyler and Uncle Mike’s birthdays.  Eat lots of dessert.

8:00 p.m. — Throw temper tantrum (because you want to stay with Grandma and Grandpa) while your parents try to take you home.

8:30 p.m. — Sulk all the way home because you would really rather be with Grandma.  Grandma sulks for the next several weeks because she would rather be with you than working . . .

What? You like throwing a temper tantrum when it’s time to go home?? :-)
